The Sequential Shift
Description
The sequential gearbox is an advanced technology that allows drivers to select gears quickly and precisely, without using the clutch pedal.
The gears are engaged in sequence by pushing the lever to downshift and pulling it to upshift. It makes it impossible to insert a wrong gear, even in the most frenetic driving. On the other hand, it is very expensive because it involves replacing the gearbox and differential with a specific one with adjustments to the vehicle's mechanics and electronics.
The AZ SEQUENZIALE selector allows you to exploit the advantages of the sequential gearbox while keeping costs down. It requires no mechanical modifications to the vehicle, you don't even have to open the bonnet to install it! You will not need to modify the cabin plastics or even the control cables of your original gearbox, and you can install it yourself in just a few hours.
Everything is reversible to original.
The friction system remains unchanged and you will continue to use it as before.
How does it work?
The system is designed to move the two control cables of the gearbox automatically and synchronously. It is operated by the driver in the same way as a sequential, but returns the same commands to the vehicle's gearbox as the original H selector precisely and repeatably. The system is very quick but not forceful. If the gearbox should refuse to engage a gear, it will be noticeable to the driver just as with the original selector.
The selector can be equipped with a sensor, display and display holder to monitor the ratio entered.
